The History of Henninger, Johnson & Layton
Henninger, Johnson & Layton Insurance Agency, Inc. was formed in December of 1983 and actually opened for business on January 1, 1984. This agency was started when three good friends Scott Henninger, Warren T. Johnson & Robert L. Layton merged their three agencies into one agency to better service the people of Northwest Alabama. With the merger of three agencies there was over 100 years of combined insurance experience. Within the past five years Mr. Henninger & Mr. Layton have retired and Mr. Warren T. Johnson is the owner and president of the agency. This agency still operates on the idea that service is what we sell. In fact, "Service is our best policy". We continue to service the needs of commercial and personal lines customers in Northwest Alabama.

Warren T. Johnson is the president and owner of Henninger, Johnson & Layton Insurance Agency, Inc. of Tuscumbia, Alabama. He has over 35 years of experience in the insurance business selling and servicing personal and commercial lines in Northwest Alabama. He holds a B.S. degree from the University of Alabama. He is a member and past director of the Alabama Association of Insurance Agents and has held every office in the Muscle Shoals Area Association of Independent Insurance Agents during the last 30 years.

Tyson Johnson is the office manager and the commercial lines manager for Henninger, Johnson & Layton. He has over five years of experience serving commercial and personal lines customers in northwest Alabama. He holds a B. S. Degree from the University of Alabama. He is a recent graduate of the State Auto Commercial Lines Pace Setter School. He is active in state and local independent insurance agents activities.

Brad Phillips is the financial services manager for Henninger, Johnson & Layton. He has been in the insurance business for almost 20 years. He was an agent for a large very well known company prior to joining the agency. He qualified 17 times for the National Sales Achievement Award and also has completed LUTCI and LUTCII. He also holds a Property & Casualty License and is now preparing for the Series 6 Security License. He holds a BS degree from the University of North Alabama. Brad came to Henninger, Johnson & Layton Insurance in September of 1992 where he continues to meet the needs of customers throughout Northwest Alabama. His relationship with this agency is very unique in the fact that Henninger, Johnson & Layton was one of the first agencies in this area to have a full time person dedicated to meeting the financial Services need of our customers.
